We were the first company ever licensed by Ford to build a new reproduction Ford. Revology Cars is officially licensed by Ford Motor Company and Shelby American to build new reproduction 1965-1968 Mustang and Shelby GT automobiles. I in no way benefiting from any business he gets (just to be clear).Welcome to Revology® Cars, manufacturer of new reproductionġ965-1968 Ford® Mustang® and Shelby® GT automobiles. Finding a person with this capability is indeed RARE, and I thought it would be worth sharing with the group here. If this sounds like a commercial I apologize, that is not my intent. This guys jigs are so accurate, he is regularly having to tweak inconsistencies in panels from Goodmark and Classic Industries. My bodyshop would have been working from body measurements.which is no where near as acurrate. The shell will be totally straight (again, due to the jigs he has). In fact, I am betting they would have almost doubled his price.Ģ. I am pretty confident that they would NOT be able to beat that price as it would take them MUCH longer as they do not have the body jigs that this guy has. My bodyshop wanted to charge me time and materials (not fixed price) as most resto shops do. So in the end, I am paying him a flat $4K for his labor + supplying my new parts, and I will get a brand new shell back. In addition, there were some panels (but not many!) that were not rusted. He is a Classic Industires and Goodmark dealer, so that is where he gets the body panels.įor example, with my shell, I had already purchased all of the panels that I needed. He will only replace the components that need replacing. Plus, you can get that cost down further by supplying your own shell. In addition, his advertised price is $1K less than Dynacorn. Plus he does Camaros and Firebirds (you can't get a Firebird from Dynacorn) 1967-1969. So you get a real car not a reproduction (like Dynacorn) and you don't have the registration issues. He will also take your shell (as in my case) and build a new body around it. He buys rusted out shells and retains the "skeleton", VIN, and Body Tag. His work is amazing and I can't wait to get my shell back in 2-3 weeks!ītw, he does 1-2 shells per month and he now has a 4-car back log.Īlso, I received my Global West upper and lower control arms and QA1 coil over shocks this week and I will begin prepping and assembling the subframe over the next week.ĭynacorn makes the Camaro shell in a convertable or coupe.ĭoes he use Firebird quarters or does he use Camaro quarters? What years does he build? I wonder if a new shell would be classified as a replacement part or a kit car?Īctually, that's the cool thing about his shells. Now that I have mine scheduled, I thought I would share his info. I had already purchased all of my metal by the time I found him, so he gave me a nice low fixed price on building the new shell (labor only).try and get that from a bodyshop! Shaker455 took the ride with me this morning and he can also attest to the quality of his work. His seams are so good you cannot see daylight even without seam sealer:Īnyway, I dropped my car off this morning and I will get it back in 2-3 weeks. He has several jigs that he uses to "rebuild" a shell and he works within 1/4" tolerances (GM built them with 1/2" tolerances). You end up with a new shell WITH A VALID TITLE and VIN (in my case, I supplied the shell): He takes a 1st Gen skeleton (literally just the the internal body pieces like the dash support, roof support, etc.) and builds the car around it from the frame rails up: Seeing how my car was going to need substantial panel replacement, I paid him a visit a few weeks ago.Īmazingly, he is less than 10 miles from me in NH. It's been a while since I posted a project update, so here goes.Īfter purchasing nearly every body panel for my car, my bodyshop ran into a gentleman at a car show that "builds" 1st Gen shells (Camaro and FB) from the frame rails up using his own jigs.
